Successful magicians in their own right, David Peace and Steve Spade have captivated audiences both on stage and in close-up, mix-and-mingle settings. Their partnership has been mutually beneficial, allowing them to leverage each other’s strengths and creatively contribute to each other’s acts. This collaboration has enabled them to explore new areas of magic that they might not have ventured into individually. Hosts of the Deceive Reality Podcast, aimed at magicians, which was started in 2020 lockdown to keep morale high for magicians who were unable to perform.
Their close friendship extends beyond the world of magic, with Steve serving as the best man at David’s wedding and David assisting Steve in choosing an engagement ring. This deep bond allows David and Steve to be candid with each other, ensuring that each performance is the best it can be.
David Peace
David Peace has been bringing entertainment to venues throughout Ireland since 2005 and is a member of the historic Magic Circle.
David Peace uses a mix of techniques used by Magicians, Mentalists & Psychic Entertainers to give you the impression that he can read your thoughts, predict your actions and influence them. You will swear that David Peace is inside your mind!
David has also performed on stage in venues such as City Limits Comedy Club, The CoCo Club, The Comedy Cavern and the Mind Reading Room. He has a huge passion for performing in Comedy Clubs. He has always infused his performances with comedy where appropriate but when in a comedy club he can express a different side of his personality.
David Peace successfully predicted the FIFA World Cup live on The Opinion Line with PJ Coogan on Cork’s 96fm, Corks number one talk show.
David Peace is also a creator of magic having created and released multiple original tricks to the magic community which have been performed by Magicians all around the world
Steve Spade
Steve Spade has been performing in Ireland since 2003 and is the only Irish Escape Artist/Magician member in the Society of American Magicians.
Steve Spade leverages his expertise in magic and escapology to craft unique experiences for his clients. His performances are filled with unexpected twists and turns, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats and constantly wondering what will happen next.
Winner of the 2023 Merlin Award for Outstanding Magic & Escapology, Spade is known for his TV appearances, large scale Stunts and Escapes, working with celebrity Clients & has also been hailed as “Ireland’s Houdini” by the European media & press.
Spade is just as busy behind the camera as a TV & Movie Consultant and teacher to actors.
As a Magician & Escape Artist, Spade has been burnt alive at the stake, carried out underwater escapes, driven classic cars blindfolded, predicted headlines, performed magic in Times Square, performed private shows in Manhattan for Celebrities and has even done “the biggest escape stunt to ever happen in Northern Ireland”.
